AOB APARTMENTS
Puyallup, Washington
This 5-story, 163,000 sq ft mixed-use apartment building design for Urban Olympia will provide 140 apartment units in downtown Puyallup, WA. This project directly addresses the city’s housing needs and the demand for higher-density residential development. The building will include a gym, ground floor parking, 2,000 sq ft of retail space and a rooftop deck and dog run. As the building is over 450 feet long, the design is intended to visually break up the length. A traditional brick façade bookends the building, reflecting the downtown setting and urban context. In the center, step backs provide relief in the massing, creating resident terraces while intentional groupings of contemporary materials aim to reflect the building’s programmatic functions.
